Sign up for the Arts Engagement Exchange Fall Learning Circle today! Using Research to Build Your Arts Audience. Whether your arts organization has a dedicated marketing staff or a multi-tasking staff member, this hands-on workshop will help you create audience research to serve as a foundation for your marketing strategy. You’ll learn how to gain valuable insight into current and potential audience composition and behavior. From identifying the specific types of information you need to the “how-to’s” of data analysis and interpretation, you will leave this workshop with the confidence to organize and conduct audience research to set your marketing priorities.

Workshop facilitators Kelley Lavin and Brenda Magnetti Erickson have created research-based marketing strategies for some of the country’s most successful companies including Unilever, Johnson & Johnson, Wal-Mart, Target, and Anheuser- Busch among many others. Today they bring their set of highly specialized skills to help their non-profit and commercial clients build innovative marketing plans. They show their clients that research does not necessarily need to be expensive or complicated to provide an effective base to a marketing strategy. What is more important is that research is an integrated part of a group’s mission and goals, something that can benefit arts organizations. When: October 27, November 3, and November 13 from 9am-noon (You must attend all three)
Where: Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington
