$5 Teen Ticket Initiative Kickoff Meeting

Greetings,

Urban Gateways is reaching out to arts and culture institutions to gain support for a new city-wide initiative that will create unprecedented access for teens to experience Chicago’s performing arts events.

This initiative aims to enable teens to access to available day-of show tickets to performances in venues across the city and surrounding area for only $5. This would help arts organizations connect with younger audiences and fill houses while making high-quality arts experiences more accessible for Chicago youth.

More information about the project can be found here: https://sites.google.com/view/chicagoteentickets/home

To get this program going, we will be having a kick-off meeting on Wednesday, March 15th at 10:30 am at the Chicago Cultural Center for all interested parties and stakeholders, including arts organizations and venues, funders, and community institutions. This gathering will allow us to introduce the concept, show data from teens demonstrating the value of this type of program, and build support as we look to move forward. We sincerely hope that you, or an appropriate representative, can attend on behalf of your organization.

The event invitation is online here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/chicago-5-teen-ticket-program-kick-off-tickets-31978921816

Finally, as a formality, we are asking interested venues to fill out a brief form so that we may list them as Inaugural Partners of this initiative.

If you have any questions, concerns, or need any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact the Urban Gateways Performance Programs Manager, Tarah Durnbaugh (tortiz@urbangateways.org, 312-445-2750).

Inaugural Partner Form can be found here: https://urbangateways.tfaforms.net/24

Thank you.
