Producing theatre presents many challenges--an Equity contract shouldn’t be one of them. Equity will host a panel discussion with several Chicago producers who have used the Chicago Area Theatre (CAT) Agreement Tier-N steps to become an Equity theatre. The Gift, Silk Road Rising, and TimeLine all began as small storefronts. They continue to shape the landscape of Chicago theatre by producing some of the boldest and most thrilling productions in the city. How did they do it? Hear from founders and Managing Directors; learn how they have produced successful projects, developed a loyal audience, and continue to foster a nurturing environment for artists to flourish and grow. The presentation will be followed by a Q & A session.
