Two Pence Lab Workshop

The Two Pence Lab brings you a special Monday night event! Bring your 10-15 lines of Shakespeare, warm up, and play with Shakespeare & Company Director of Education and Master Teacher Kevin Coleman. This is a rare chance to work with Kevin outside of Massachusetts.

Kevin will lead a group warm up, work individually on text, and share some thoughts on working with Shakespeare.

$20 workshop fee

KEVIN COLEMAN
Director of Education Shakespeare & Company
 Kevin Coleman has been a founding member of Shakespeare & Company since 1979. For the company Kevin teaches text analysis, acting, scene study, stage combat, clown and directing. As the Director of Shakespeare & Company’s Education Program, he oversees the Directors-in-Residency program. Under Kevin’s leadership, the Shakespeare & Company’s Education Program has developed such programs as: Shakespeare & Young Company, Riotous Youth, Shakespeare in the Courts, and the Fall Festival of Shakespeare. Outside of the Education Program, Kevin has taught and directed at MIT, Harvard, UMass/Boston, Lincoln Center, the Folger Library in Washington, DC., the Stratford Festival in Ontario, and many others. Kevin is the Project Director for the National Institute on Teaching Shakespeare. Shakespeare & Company’s Education Program has been recognized by the President’s Council on the Arts and Humanities, the MacArthur Foundation and the GE Foundation as a “Champion of Change” in Arts in Learning.
