SDC Foundation Observerships

One week left to apply! Deadline is July 31, 2013

Apply to the SDCF Observership Program
25 paid opportunities for productions through June 30, 2014

SDCF Observership Application Materials are available online at SDCweb.org.
The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) Observership Program grants emerging Directors and Choreographers 25 paid opportunities to observe the work of master Directors and Choreographers as they create productions on Broadway, Off-Broadway and at leading regional theatres across the country.

Only those who apply to the program have access to these opportunities. See full program guidelines for more information on how the program operates.

SDCF Observers have access to the entire rehearsal process, from first rehearsal through previews to opening night. The exact nature of each Observership varies depending on the needs and desires of the master Director or Choreographer. Observers are guaranteed the invaluable opportunity to observe, first-hand, the techniques, disciplines, approaches and insights of master artists as they create new productions and revive classics.

Each Observer receives a grant of a weekly stipend of $200 and a project travel stipend. In a recent survey of our past three seasons of Observers, 100% recommend the program.

To apply, please visit SDCweb.org for information, application and guidelines. Please see our new frequently asked questions page if you have any questions. Please note that this program is open to all applicants; there is no union affiliation required for this program.
