October 24 Talkback with ALTA Chicago and Teatro Línea de Sombra

Tuesday, October 24, immediately following the 8:00 p.m. performance
The company of Amarillo joins the Alliance of Latinx Theater Artists (ALTA Chicago) for a conversation around ethnographic/autobiographical work that can be dangerous to perform. What are the risks we take when we tell stories that live in a landscape of violence and hardship? How do our experiences, our histories and our truths make us targets for violence? Stay after the show for a conversation with the artists of Amarillo about the making of the piece, and the risks artists take to tell a story.

Moderated by Issac Gomez, Co-Creative Director at ALTA Chicago and Director of New Play Development at Victory Gardens Theater

$10 tickets are available to the show that evening with the code CONNECT.
